Listening Through Winter

It’s frigid out (at least, frigid in nyc). Shocker! It’s winter!

Walked outside to grab my coffee today and walked….right back home. Today is the type of day where I want to be bundled, snug as a BUG.

Anyways, I feel like I always read about how winter is a time to slow down. Since we’re inside most of the time, it can feel like a whole lot of waiting (especially as someone who loves summer so much). Waiting for warmer weather, outdoor activities, sunshine, etc. Winter can get pretty long!

Over the years though, I’ve found a lot of comfort in small things at home that make my cold winters better. Some more recent things I’ve been loving are soft comfy sets, getting back into reading, and lots of candles (I hate to say it I really do, but I’m beyond thrilled about my new candle warmer - it’s my fave part of my kitchen & I feel like that’s a sign of aging #help).

The main thing I take comfort in though is putting on a mellow playlist in the background of whatever I’m doing at home. It makes a long winter day very enjoyable in my humble opinion.

I know I’ve made posts before linking a Spotify playlist to accompany it, so without further ado…..

I’ve made this playlist that I’ve been religiously listening to with a bunch of chill little songs that help me slow down:

In case you need a pick-me-up or a “peacefully-think-about-every-situation-youve-ever-encountered” playlist, this one’s guaranteed to have it all!
