OBX Premiere

If anyone’s a fan of Netflix’s Outer Banks - this is the post for you (fun fact: in the first and last photos I’m actually standing in front of Kiara’s house in the show)!

Two weeks ago I had a full circle moment in Charleston - I got to go to the world premiere of Outer Banks Season 4!

I feel like I’ve told this story a lot, but if you aren’t familiar with my Charleston origin story, let’s rewind to the beginning. About a year and a half ago, I was sitting in my NYC apartment flipping through Netflix. I started watching this Outer Banks show that everyone was raving about - very late to the trend might I add.

I immediately fell in love with the cinematography and the filming location (which I heard wasn’t actually the outer banks in NC). So I looked up where exactly filming was and it said Charleston, SC. I found a job there, applied, and before I knew it I was moving to Charleston (and have been in love with it ever since)!

I even live near where they filmed some scenes of this season, so my friend Abbey and I got to see some filming this past summer as well - even meeting our friend Erin in the process (s/o obx for that friendship <333)

We caught wind that for season 4, they were returning to Charleston, where everything began, to have the premiere - and we knew we had to go (and all thanks to Erin, we somehow found our way on to the red carpet as well)!

It was such a fun full-circle moment for me! From randomly turning it on one day in NYC, to becoming a local of a place I knew nothing about but would come to adore, to then going to Netflix’s premiere of the following season - it was perfect! 🎞️ 🎥
